Match the charger to how long vehicles stay and how much power your site has: 30 kW suits hotels and hospitals where cars park for hours, 60 kW suits malls and city hubs, 80 to 120 kW suits highway stops and fleet hubs, and 160 to 240 kW suits expressways and bus or truck terminals. Your available electrical load sets the upper limit.

Hotels and hospitals: 30 kW

When cars stay for hours, a lower power charger still delivers a useful charge. The 30 kW charger has a single CCS2 gun at up to 150 A and needs only about 34 to 36 kVA, so it fits most existing connections. It also suits commercial parking and small fleet depots.

Malls and city hubs: 60 kW

Mall visitors stay one to three hours, and cab drivers want quick top-ups. The 60 kW charger has two CCS2 guns with dynamic power sharing, so two cars charge together and power is split between them. When one finishes, the other can take more.

Highways and fuel plazas: 80 to 120 kW

Highway drivers stop for a meal or a short break and want to get going. The 80 kW charger suits food courts, resorts and fuel plazas. The 120 kW charger suits expressway wayside amenities, intercity corridors and fleet hubs where turnaround time matters more.

Fleets, buses and trucks: 160 to 240 kW

High-volume depots and terminals need the most power. The 160 kW model suits arterial highways and commercial transit depots, the 180 kW model suits expressways and intercity electric bus stops, and the 240 kW charger suits ultra-fast charging plazas and heavy truck and bus fleet terminals. The Ministry of Power guidelines also call for at least two chargers of 240 kW or more at public highway stations meant for long-range and heavy-duty EVs.

Three checks before you decide

  • Load: confirm your spare kVA covers the model's connected load on 3-phase 415 V AC.
  • Vehicles: check your target vehicles' charging port and maximum DC charging power. All our chargers use CCS2 and cover 150 to 1000 V DC.
  • Subsidy fit: PM E-DRIVE covers car DC chargers of 50 to 250 kW CCS2 only, so 30 kW is not eligible, and approval under any scheme is not guaranteed. See our subsidy guide.

Still unsure? Our site checklist helps you gather load figures. Then compare all seven models on the DC fast charger page or call or WhatsApp 77089 94055, or 88070 22133.

Frequently asked questions

Which kW charger is best for a hotel?

Most hotels suit the 30 kW model. Guests park for hours, so a single CCS2 gun delivers a useful charge without a large power upgrade; it needs about 34 to 36 kVA. Hotels with heavy EV traffic or a highway location may consider a 60 kW dual-gun model instead.

What is the difference between single-gun and dual-gun chargers?

A single-gun charger, like the 30 kW model, has one CCS2 connector and charges one vehicle at a time. Dual-gun models from 60 kW to 240 kW have two CCS2 connectors and share power dynamically, so two vehicles charge together and power is split. Dual-gun units serve more cars per bay.

Can I install a bigger charger than my load allows?

Not without an upgrade. Each model needs a connected load sized to it, for example about 135 to 145 kVA for 120 kW. If your spare capacity is lower, choose a smaller model or apply to your DISCOM for more load. Pristine AACF reviews transformer capacity before quoting.

Which charger suits electric buses?

The 180 kW model suits intercity electric bus stops, and the 240 kW model suits bus and truck fleet terminals. All models use CCS2, which electric buses also use, and cover 150 to 1000 V DC. Check your buses' charging port and maximum DC power before choosing.

Which cars can use these chargers?

All Pristine AACF DC fast chargers use CCS2, the standard DC fast-charging connector for electric cars in India. The 150 to 1000 V DC output range covers both lower-voltage and newer high-voltage battery platforms. Check your target vehicles' maximum DC charging power when sizing the charger.
